For the past year, there’s been a resurgence in collecting a specific type of jewelry: cameos. Whether you go vintage or go new, they’re everywhere from rings, earrings, to necklaces. So for our accessory of the week call-out and holiday gift idea #1,000,000, we suggest one of our three handmade cameos we’ve got sittin’ pretty in our jewelry case!

Handmade with delicate matching beads, this purple/black cameo takes on a delicate gothic look, but is fitting for someone who likes this combo ($125).

Or if you know someone that likes to go bigger and bolder, than this bright blue and cream cameo combo is perhaps a better fit at $135.

Or maybe, you want to go completely traditional on the cameo front and want the women’s face (and with the added touch of dangling daggers) for a more Romeo & Juliet feel. It’s a classic cameo at $75.

If you know someone who’s got cameos on their wish list this holiday season, then you’re better off seeing our handmade selection before checking elsewhere.

There comes a time when it’s time to throw in the old coat, and spring for a new one. One that is structured, one that will go with everything–black, and one that transcends a few seasons, so we’ve pulled on for you! We recently just got in a new double-breasted pea coat from Kitchen Orange. With a nice big collar and a tailored back slit, the wool, very thick coat is perfect for the snow showers and any evening event you’re heading out to. For $275, it’s a sure fire investment that will last you years. But if you’re privy to our secret word (“Shop Brooklyn/Brooklyn Bonus”) then the coat is 20% off for you on Wednesdays until the 25th. Come by and use your bonus!!

We’re always on the hunt for new favorites in the Etsy world, since we love all the varieties and options from handmade clothing, accessories, and trinkets for the home. And the other great thing about Etsy? There’s even a place for vintage. Much better than eBay’s display and selection because, the vintage selection is often curated and hand picked by the seller from vintage shops across the country and there’s a personality behind the seller’s page. And Candy Shop Vintage, our newest Etsy fav find, is curated vintage jewelry at its best.

Deirdre Zahl, the South Carolina-based designer and curator behind the page, hand picks the costume jewelry from flea markets and vintage shops across the east coast, while only selecting pieces with her personal taste. She then delicately styles each photo for her page with cute props such as appropriate candies and pictures of Coco Chanel. All her pieces are more than reasonably priced, and if you decide to make a purchase, she personally wraps each piece in wax paper and sends along a piece of candy for your sweet tooth. Check out her cute blog from her Etsy site, so you can find out about new items and various events she’s holding. For a sweeter side of life, indulge in some vintage one-of-a-kind pieces.

Need we even say (again?) how much studs are in this season? Found on everything, we’ve stocked more headbands in for you headband lovin’ movers and shakers, and think you can party just a little bit harder this season with these rockin’ headbands:

Studded and bejeweled, these bow-tie headbands are $34 but will glitz up and rock out with any outfit you wear out to your holiday parties.

Of if you want a little less glitz and more studs, then we have these simple, straight-up satin stud headbands for $24. With a gold on black combo. . .

. . . or a black on black, the holiday becomes brighter not with holiday lights, but with headbands.
